Just got my IT manual,for major and power major,compression, cranking pounds 365.
that is from the IT manual.

I would suspect you have air in fuel lines.
my limit experience with diesels turning over with the starter around 200rpm you should get 300 to 375 PSI on each cylinder (you don't want more than about 30 psi diferance between cylinders) I have an old ford manual that indicates these values also a kubota manual states the same.

Thanks again JD. That might be ok for a gas but I have a diesel. I've 370-380 lbs adv.but can't make it run on diesel.Injectors seem to be working good,change injector pump,check timing twice.I know that Ford 172 diesel are about 550 lbs.

Ok well, i messed around with some math last night (couldnt sleep) If my theory is correct(and it may not be) ... I took the square surface area of the piston, circumferance 3.934in X pi 3.14 , and multiply by the compression ratio 16.1 and came up with 195-195 psi.
THIS IS JUST A GUESS!!

IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO FIGURE THIS FOR SURE PLEASE CONTACT ME.
