Hi, This may be obvious to many of you, but I am clueless. Where would be a good place to buy a new float for a Kingston vaporizer from a 1923 Fordson F? Thanks.

If the 2 other sources do not pan out for you, here is something else you can try. There were 2 type of Kingston manifolds/carburation used on the fordson. For the style with the round fuel bowl attached to the carb, a brass model T Kingston float will work, just needs a little dent in it to clear the centerpost. These are availible from MAC's or Snyder's which both have great web sites.
For the newer style with the rectangular bowl that is detached from the vaporizor, I have made my own a few times. I get a float for a 1970's ford with a 302 and 2 barrel carb from an auto parts store. I then remove the hanger from this new float and use some J-B Weld to bond the original float hanger to the new float. The new float is made of plastic like all modern floats and works real good. Hope this helps.

Hello Steve,
Nice job on the assembly of the Model F at the Nittany show. I have an F in boxes I purchased from a guy in York last year. It was nice to see how everything goes together. Now all I need is to make time to start the project.

Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed our demonstration assembling the model "F" It was alot of work preparing, but hearing all the positive comments from the people who watched us do it makes it worth it. If you have any questions when it comes time to assemble your tractor, I would be glad to help anyway I can.

Hi Steve, Mine is the first type with the round float bowl. I have a Snyder's catalog, since it has the commutators in it, but didn't know that I could use the model T float as well. Never heard of MAC's, so I will look it up. Thank you!

Some time ago I needed a float for a 1937 Farmall F30. I got a phone# for Rice Equipment, they had one on stock. They may have just what you need. Phone# is 814-226-9200. It's worth a try, good luck.

Have you tried The Fordson House? They should have it if nobody else does; of course, you'll pay plenty, but those things are real scarce these days...
