I purchased a to35 last year at a auction. The tractor runs great and the compression is within the good range according to my I.T. shop manual. When the tractor runs for 30 minutes or so the oil pressure will drop back to zero. When it is cold it will run on the high side of normal. The gauge does'nt have numbers. I rebuilt the oil pump, replaced the gauge and it did'nt really help. I looked at some of the rod and main bearings and they looked ok. No brass on them showing. Any ideas on what the problem could be?

Here is a couple ideas for you, regardless of what brand you place your post in. Oil pressure is mainly built up from the main bearings, the only way to get a reliable measurement of the clearance is to use plastigage during assembly and always have your crank turned or polished and always put in new main AND rod bearings if your engine is apart anyway. You might try a high volume oil pump but first eliminate the possibility of the pressure line to the gauge, somtimes those plastic tubes affect the reading. Try getting a gauge that you can screw right in the block or make a line of small copper tube as short as possible. If you still have low pressure then try the high volume pump. ALSO consult your manual, I am always surprized at the stated low readings of oil pressure at idle, can be as low as 5-7psi. Good Luck

I think you might wanna move your post over to the Massey Merguson board as the TO35 is a Massey built tractor after Mr. Ford and Mr. Ferguson split up.
