I was wanting to know if anyone has a contact in the Midwest U.S who can rebuilt a Fordson clutch with Live PTO. I have talked to about eight - ten different folks and they say you need a super secret jig to do it and they do now know anyone with the jig.

If anyone has a parts tractor with Live PTO and are interested in selling the clutch let me know as I would be interested also.

Thanks,

Scott

You dont say which model Major or Dexta? I have done them without even the spring compressor. If you must have it done I know of an exchange place or rebuild yours yourself. Now I never said it was easy just that it can be done at home with a few simple tools, for only the cost of the parts of where I know these can be had.

Woodache,

The clutch is from a 03/59 Fordson Power Major.

The PTO clutch is cracked ( long story )and the clutch for the gears is fine but I hear when you replace one you need to replace both of them.

Thanks,

Scott

You have to do them both at the same time. And any worn internal parts too.
Disc are about $60 each

I forgot that it was over 10 years ago that I done mine, But there are various grades that run up to $175 or more then . Just ask these people I just got Dexta ones last year for $54 each. They have the discs NEW! Not rebuilt either. But you have to go to Ott"s Friction Supply in Portland ORE to get Individuial parts Just check the phone book they have an 800 but I cant seem to find it right now. They take Tel orders and ship mail. They are really good for brakes to had my Major and both Dextas done there, But I lived there then. Took the shoes in the morning and had them by 3 pm

Try these people for discs
