Just replacing liners and noticed section of the top side of the lower seal groove corroded on 2 pots. Keeping fingers crossed the liner will still seal against the block or does it rely on sealing all round the groove?
It was a good snug fit when it went in and the rest of the groove was fine...
Any advice much appreciated

If its corroded away it needs urgent attention. If you reassemble like that you will have water in the sump very quickly.

Build the top of the groove up with a Molecular Metal type substance.
