I saw a picture of about 20 Fordso's lined up in a picture yesterday. The interesting one is the front tractor. It is a trycycle type with a single front wheel!. This picture is from the 1920' and these are American made Fordson tractors. I have never sean one with the single front wheel. Anyone know about this version?J.

Moline made a conversion kit for the Fordsons that included the single front wheel and also different rear axles and wheels for silde in-out spacing for plow-cultivator and a 2 row cultivator for those tractors.

Fordson introduced their "All Around" model in 1937 (I think) for row crop usage -- this tractor had a single front wheel and a bit more clearance than the standard Model N, which was being produced in Dagenham, England by that time.

That is the catch. This is an American Fordson and not an English made all around. This picture is from the 1920's. J.

There were a couple of aftermarket manufacturers who made a conversion to put the single front wheel on the early Fordson. They are quite rare.
