Hyraulic problems

I have problem with the hydraulic system, I must use full power to lift it up. the problem started suddenly. I have try to change the oil but the problem is still there. the serial nr is: 1324382
and M18A on the left side of the engine block
I think it is a power major but i'm not sure.

You have a Fordson Major Diesel ASP (All Spare Parts) not a Power Major. Your serial number is from January 1955 and your casting code from October 18th 1957, both dates are before Power Majors were built.

You could have a blown "O" ring in the feed pipes or in the pump itself. The feed pipes could be the easiest to check as you can get to these without taking the lift off. Just take the valve chest off the front. Otherwise you will have to take the lift off to get to the pump and the stack pipe rings.

there are some o-rings between the pump and control and most likely one of them is blown being as the problem came on suddenly
