Does anyone know how many pounds of pressure comes from the hydraulic line? I've read I need 2500 lbs to operate a JD 1209 mower conditioner. I'm looking at one of these right now, and the price sure is right, but not much point going any further if my Major won't work the cylinder.
thanks for any input.

Hydraulic system pressure is 2000 -2400 psi in a Major, 2450 - 2500 psi in a Super Major.

Can the cylinder be replace with another cylinder? Now all the older new generation of John Deere tractors had that much pressure either. We had a customer one time who had 2 different crawlers. One would pull the plow we sold him but not lift it. The other one would lift it but would not pull it. A change in hydraulic cylinders solved that problem. Questions?
