Hi all....got one of those, with the clutch on the left side, what I was wondering, does anyone have a schematic of the governor? seem to be missing a spring, or something. Replaced the shaft with the balls and spreader and the retaining and operating cup, but didn"t get the spring, [?]....not sure what it is supposed to look like....the length, tension, etc. Thanks in advance, R.E.L.

The spring fits between the links behind the side plate. It is 1.62" long, Test length = 2.83", Pressure = 5lbs 8ozs + or - 2 ozs.

Majorman,

Where did you get the data on the spring? It is good data to have when parts are no longer available.

Regards

Because I was a Ford trained mechanic and worked on these tractors for a Ford Main Dealer, I have the original Ford issued workshop manuals and service letters. That's where my data comes from. They are getting very battered now but are still very useful.
