Just bought a Fordson on steel. Hadn't got it home yet. My question is about the front wheels. Why would the right front wheel be further out than the left? And what model would would have this style?

Neal

I have a tractor just like that one. It was purchased from a museum in Alabama. I will be more than happy to help you with restoration.

Thanks everyone for your information. I was able to talk to the former owner and he explained the wide front axle. I got this tractor from a local museum on a sealed bid. The former owner's Father bought this tractor new in 1927.

I'm trying to link a picture of a 1918 Fordson I had with the offset front axle.

Neal, If the axle has an extension on the right side the tractor most probably had an aftermarket Athens Disk Plow setup at one time.
