FMD brake axle oil seal

I had to change both brake axle oil seals (inner and outer seal) of a 1955 Fordson Major so I took the whole brake assembly off. When I did so I didn't pay enough attention to where exactly the outer seal was located in the axle. It was wery badly worn so I couldn't see its inside diameter properly. That led to a misunderstanding. I thought that the seal goes straight to the brake axle between the bearing and the brake drum so I had the seal made to fit around the axle. After I reinstalled the axle housing and the seal, it became clear that this wasn't the case at all. I'm now assuming (it's the only possibility) that there will be no gap between the brake drum and the bearing and the oil seal goes around the inner part of the brake drum. Is that correct?

I live in Finland and the local dealer has the seals but they cost 55 euros each. That is 71 US dollars. I think that this is a little bit too much so I'll have them specially made as I did with the last ones. I'm just curious how much the seals cost in the US or in the UK. Are they that expensive there too?

Yup the seal fits around the brake drum hub. £34.00 English seems rather expensive for a seal. They are still available over here but they take a bit of finding and usually come in an "EnFo" package.
