Hi: Does any one know if Rusteoleum makes a color or colors that are close to the original for a 1920 F Fordson? Thanks for your help. Roger

Roger,
Several years ago after spending a day at the parts store I discovered that the Saturn car air cleaner Pur A14650 worked perfect in the Fordson Air Washer. After looking for a quicky fix to paint up some Fordson F parts, I blew another day and discovered Rustoleum does indeed make (or made) as spray paint in the can that will have you scratching your head. It's not perfect but, if you're looking to save a few bucks or in my case a few thousand bucks on a paint job, this is the answer.
The paint you want to locate is Rustoleum #7755 Light Olive. Go to: WWW.Fordsonexchange.com on the internet. Had I known about the Rustoleum spray paint then I could have saved some $$$ but, then again it wouldn't look like this. Let me know what you think about the color. Ron

Roger:

Correct paint scheme for American Fordson Model F is:

Fordson gray: Entire body, fenders, fuel tank.

Red: Wheels

Black: Seat, seat spring, tool box, coil box, all control rods, linkages, steering wheel, crank handle, fan, carburetor, manifold.

As for the paint itself, you can have the correct colors custom-mixed:

All the following are DITZLER paint numbers that any DITZLER dealer can work with, other companies could cross the numbers. All colors are accurate reproductions, these are correct.

This will mix one quart of grey paint: DMR 475-12 440-26 486-74 491-278 400-398 490-418 DXR 495-438 DMR 499-1074

This will mix one quart of red paint:
DMR 401-20 406-180 405-648 DXR 495-668 DMR 499-1144

You can buy pre-mixed paint by the gallon from The Fordson House in Escanaba, Michigan, but they charge $80/gallon for Fordson Red, $34/gallon for Fordson Gray, and $42/gallon for Black.

Hope this helps.
