I too bought a magnetic heater. I have used it on the engine and on the hydraulics, which are sometimes tempermental when it gets very cold.

A friend suggested I get a magnetic block heater. I took his advise and got one. I really like it . It takes longer than the lower rad. hose heater(which burnt up and almost caused a fire), but it is versatile. You can use it on more than on tractor and you'll be surprise the uses you'll find for it. One word of caution, they get hot and you have to handle them. Be careful.

I bought an inline coolant heater from a local farm equipment dealer. It cost about $40 CDN, and does a decent job of warming the engine, noticebly easier cold weather starts. I think it's about 600 watts or so.

YESSIR, I'm from Canada. The east coast actually, but my tractor is from Sask. $34 dollars sounds like a good deal, definately worth a try, and it's a pretty easy install. Plus, it'll give ya a chance to change out the coolant and possible the thermostat!! Just what you wanted to hear right?

Well I didnt change out the coolant,(appeared fine )and the thermostat is new so we're good there. I did install the inline heater and your right very simple. A good friend of mine is also from Sask. and he has 2 fordsons, 1 gas, 1 diesel,he found the one I have and convinced me to buy this one. I'm glad he did, I'm really happy with it. I'm out in Western Canada (Kelowna) between Vancouver and Calgary. Hey Jeff , thanx for your input.

Rob
