I finish the Counter Weight for the front end. I made 2- Slip in recevers welded to a 6" X 13" Channel Steel Plate which I bolted to the Axle Support Houseing w/3- 3/4" Grade 5 Bolts. The Weight is 32" of 5" Round Bar Stock welded to 21" of 3" Channel welded to the Box Steel Recevers with Gussets. The whole set up weights about 200lbs and can be removed with a floor jack and the Bumper sliped in instead. The Hood has room to tilt forward with it on. I posted a picture of it on the Implement Photos under "Counter Weight" if interested in seeing it. Mark H.

This counter weight is only used to offset the Fork Lift during use. It makes the front end steer better and safer to use. I would not use it for general use due to the extra strain it puts on the tractors front end parts. That's why I wanted one I could take off real easy. Short term use only. Mark H.

I'm glad you let us see the underside hookup of you counterweight. Very interesting but I don't think I would attempt this.

Why would you not attempt this? 200lbs is not that much weight to add on it's done with wheel weights all the time and they are a pain to take off and on when needed. Mark H.

The center of the weight to the center of the mount is 14 inches. The picture makes it look real long. The total length of the box steel support is 14 inches including the support one on the mount. Mark H.
