Hello Everyone
`Last weekend I ran my 1950 TEA Fergy out of fuel, when I went to refilled the tank, I noticed quite a bit of sediment in the fuel bowl. I want to clean this out before I put in fresh fuel. My question is this. Once the fuel bowl is off is there a gasket that needs to be replaced, between the bowl and where its mounted on the tractor, It seems to me that this screws on to the left of the tank and before the filter. Which brings me to my next question. My fergy has a fuel filter that looks like it was an add on, which is fine, but were they original? Any response would be great, especially on the Fuel Bowl question.

Hi Barry,

Sorry that I didn't get up to see you yet... Round nut on underside holds the glass bowl in place, loosen it, flip the U shaped rod out of the way (while holding the bowl), pull bowl away from strainer assay. original gasket was cork, maybe long gone. If you need a new one go to Mckeown's in Springbrook, they'll fix you up with one. There was only one filter originally, the one screwed into the bottom of the tank, it also incorperates the fuel shutoff valve. Call if you need any assistance.

Cheers...

there is a gasket between the bowl and the housing but you may not have to replace it unless it will not seal up again. Most tractor dealers have these I think it was 1.00 or so for the little rubber one. You might want to take the assembly off the tank and have a look at the screen on top of it they can get pretty dirty. regards

The glass sediment bowl fuel filter is original on these tractors. My early 50's tea-20 has a rubber gasket (may not be original) that the bowl seats against. I have never had to replace it in the 8 years I have owned this tractor.
