My TE20 doesn't seem to be charging up to par. Can anyone give me an idea what the readings should be at an idle, ect. Still the 6volt system with a 9volt battery. Did find a manual for it, gives info on the electrical system, even how to make repairs on the generator, ect but not how to check output. Thanks

The 6v system will not charge correctly connected to a 9v battery. Return to the 6v, 80AH battery and you will be able to measure charging voltage/amperage like you inquired about. The 6v generator will supply 16-19 amps at operating temperature. The 3rd brush will vary the charging rate by moving it, however moving it to the maximum will cause the voltage regulator to fail in a short while. Hope this helps!
