Hi All,

Just daydreaming, becuase my tractor is up in North country with 3 feet of snow still on the ground. I need to split my TO30 for an engine rebuild. I was wondering if the front wheels will fit on the rear axle to make it easier and more compact to push the tranny/axle around the garage. Of course I would make a rolling dolly to mount under the front of the tranny to balance the load. My rear tires are filled with salt and make the whole thing hard to maneuver.

Whaddya think??

Fran

Fran;
My TO-35 has a 6-bolt pattern on the front and an
8-bolt pattern for the rear. Aside from that, the
front wheels are mounted on a tapered spindle
whereas the rear wheels mount to the brake drums-
totally different setup. Based on your
description of your rear tires, might it be more
trouble to take them off and then on again than it
would be to use a come-along with your dolly
setup? This arrangement worked well for me...
Good luck!
Roger
