I like it!! :D
A real head turner. It just needs a little more chrome and a sissy bar.
Yep I want one.
I reckon Mr Ferguson would like it too.

Dell. If you buy Swan Lager, you're likely to buy that Harley-Ferguson!!!

To my discerning taste buds, it's only marginally better than Bud Lite!!!
Jerry. Advert says it is new everything and the paint job does look good quality. By EBay US standards it is probably a $3,000 to $4,000 tractor - plus the cost of a repaint!

New Everthing?? "New everything" must mean spark plugs, wires, possibly repro distributor, carb, starter and generator, steering wheel and tires, pto shaft. In general, new parts are not being made for these machines! The bid was up to $6000 last I looked and the reserve was not met!

Pure marketing hype.

Bob..... ..well I consider Swan Lager better'n Foster Lager. So there! BELCH!!!

We flew into Perth in late January and off-loaded the Apollo ground station test crew for their LOOoong drive to Carnarvon TS for testing against our C-121G calibration aircraft, (200-knots, 4-props and 3-tailfeathers). So we had a long weekend to while away. Yep, they gotta a 'roo too.

Having pasted a liquor store on drive from airport to swimming pooled motel, couple of us volunteered to go back and buy a case of ICY COLD BEER. Parked on street and walked into shop, our yank accent immediately gave us away. (grin)

Told clerk we wanted a case of Swan Lager beer. He replies "Are you certain you want a case?" YES!!! Well he quoted a price in L&S&P. We haddn't quite got the conversion to USD$ quite figgered out yet, but we're throwing money on counter. Then he sez to drive around back to loading dock. Well every country has DIFFERENT booze laws so that didn't throw us.

As we reversed up to the dock, a VERY LARGE WOODEN CRATE was wheeled out to our Plymouth Valiant sedan's trunk. Now that threw us. 64-liter bottles of Swan River's finest; and we were expecting the Yankee case equivalent of 24-bottles of 16-oz (1/2-liter) beer. Found out what we really should have asked for was a "carton" of beer 'stedda' "case" of beer.

Not surprizingly enuff, with 8-HOT bored aircraft crew setting round the pool, 64-bottles of swill would NOT HAVE LASTED very long.

We also found out the most favorite thing to do in Perth on Sunday, was to go out to the Lounge at the airport and watch airplanes touch'n'go. Somehow the airport lounge was licensed to DISPENSE on SUNDAY, all other taverns and bars were closed due to Sunday BLUE LAWS. Perth is a very thirsty town, eh? ..... ..Dell

Paint it in Harley colors and ask a small fortune for it. What a marketing ploy! PT Barnum was right; there"s a sucker born every minute!

P.S. I have to admit that the paint job appears to be well done.

Dell. You're showing your age if you remember Aussie pounds, shillings and pence!! We've now had dollars and cents for 42 years.

The America's Cup yacht "Dame Pattie" is still around. Last I saw it, it was a tourist cruise yacht on the Great Barrier Reef. Dame Pattie Menzies was the wife of arguably our greatest Prime Minister, Sir Robert Menzies (1894 - 1978), Prime Minister in 1940 and again 1949 to 1966.

That Poofter pink Fergy looks like something out of Sydney's Gay Mardi Gras!

Did you notice that "Harley-Ferguson" has a four cell battery? Must still be a 6 volt system with an eight volt battery?

Bob..... ..ahh, such self-righteous indignation from the land of the 10-cent toilet. You doubt? In January 1967, I awoke very Jet-lagged in Sidney to an excited Television Announcers voice about some "dime potty". Dime is yank slang for 10-cent coin and Potty is 'nutter slang fer various versions of the thunder mug (toilet) frequently missed by young training children. Turns out "dime potty" was actually the fuzzy hearing of "Dame Patty"; an America's Cup sailing yacht competition going on in Sidney Harbour. Named after the Australian Prime Minister's WIFE at the time. Same time Australia was changing from pounds and shillings to dollars. I still have some Aust-L's somewheres.

Harley Davidson..... Harry Ferguson..... the "Har" and "son"..... works for me.

Iff'n that tighen's yer jaws, check out this Princess Fergie model (sometimes known as the Poofter) third party image
Shamelessly stolen from the cowboard posted by David in Wales.
Respectfully mate, eh?..... ..Dell

Another permutation of the same name could be a Road King painted grey and it would be just as strange. It saddens me to see restorable old "anythings" morphed into something else - cars, tractors, houses, etc. Some of them are, of course, past restoring and are fair game. Why, I almost bought a green and yellow tractor once just because it was rusting away but the grey in me won out. I am mercenary so, if the Harley Ferguson sells, I might paint my TO 30 and chrome it up and see if there is another "collector" out there.

I like the dual exhaust! Looks like an obvious case of spending way more money on a rebuilt/restore than the tractor is worth.

I have this on my watch list for days not to see if any one put in a bid.

I even thought of putting in a bump bid, but the reserve price may be $6001.00 Too much fire to play with. :-)

Did you see the other over priced item? A $1500.00 three bottom plow? with reserve the guy said he had sever hundered in paint on a plow....

Sad to see the $100+ pain job scrape away within the 1st 100 ft.

What I found even more amazing than someone bidding $6000.00 is that it didn't meet the reserve price. That must have been one expensive paint job. LOL

I'll bet the guy selling it had his brother bid it to $6,000...usually opening bids are just a few bucks, this one only has 1 bid.

I know from past experiance of owning a Harley. That there needs to be more chrome on this $6,000 tractor. I guess if your not going to paint a Fergy grey. ( I must be a purist, because it drives me crazy to see Fergy's all restored in red or a multitude of other colors ) But if you can get 6 grand or more for a Fergy maybe my next restoration will be Orange and black. With Alot of CHROME

i would not give 600 for it. painting it black and orange makes it somehow part harley-davidson? if he had two v-twins powering it then it would a harley ferguson.

Someone has even bid the $6000,00 for it. Did someone say a fool and his money are soon parted? I shouldn't say anything I have done some stupid things in my life time and I will probably do some more. Things like this is what keeps the world going. Maybe I should rethink what color I paint my TO 30. Black and Orange can't cost more than the Grey I was going to get, can it? Richard
