Hello, I have been having a little trouble with my hydraulics being rather slow. The problem began back in the winter. When lifting a 5 foot Bush Hog the hydraulics would lift slow and jerk while the fluid was cold but if I worked the tractor for a few hours the fluid would warm up and it would just barely lift the mower maybe 6 inches. Well, now that I have warmer weather the lift will only raise the mower about 6inches now. It will pick up a grader blade or plow just fine. I did a little research on here and found how to remove the side plates and check for leaks. With the fluid good and warm and the Bush Hog on the tractor I removed the left side plate where the pto lever is. With the tractor in lift mode the is so much fluid coming out of the center of the pump where the pistons are it would make it impossible to remove the right side plate. It is coming from the right side pistons, just shooting up and out of the pump and onto the valve chamber and right side plate. Hardly any is pumping up and out of the left side. Is this a stuck valve chamber on the right side or are the pistons wore so bad that it's just squirting past them? What type of kit would I need to fix this problem if it is the pistons? I've got to get this fixed, Harry {that's his name} is to important around here to be sitting around idle!!

There are gaskets between the pump body and the valve chambers. Maybe they are leaking. Holler for John(UK). He may be able to provide more info on your problem.
