Down Pressure on Loader for TO-20

I finally the front pump and loader installed on my TO-20. It works pretty nice, except the gravity drop on the loader arms really goes fast and rocks the tractor when releasing the valve handle. Would two-way hydraulics with both up and down pressure smooth this out? Like the bucket which has pressure both ways and operates very smoothly.

Thanks,

Dan

Plumb in a one way flow restrictor valve on the loader lift cylinder hydraulic line. Such as on with a micrometer adjustment of rate made by Cross. Then you set the lowering rate with the micrometer adjustment. I bought a couple one time from Northern Tool (as they are known last I checked).

Otherwise sand your finger tips and barely open the valve when lowering.

Gerald, think I'll look into this because not sure I can sand down my fingers enough to be that "precise." It is possible to barely move the lever...but you need to be paying attention!

Can you just move the valve slowly, it should be progressive to a point. A one way valve may be faster than a two way. But you should be able to just move the lever a fraction of an inch to lower slower.

I worked w/it a bit more last night and yes, if I'm very gentle with the valve control lever it works pretty good --- but you need barely need to move the lever and it's easy to overdo it!!

Dual valve and dual cylinders and more money...
I have a loader that will do the same thing, ever I get it hoooked up again. My plans are to build a stop or install a spring on the control that will only allow "X" amount of control arm travel.
Bouncing the tractor was fun! (?) I was thinking of putting batteries on the back for counterweight and going to Mexico...
