I have this peice that i pulled out of the area that goes inbetween the trans. and the trumpet part of the rearend. It bolts on to the bottom of the transmission. I beleive it has something to do with the PTO but am not to sure about that.
This is my first tractor and i am trying to restore it. It runs good the motor any ways but just would not move. so i broke it apart and this is what i found. If any one know what it is or where i may buy a new or used one i would greatly appericate it. I have looked on severl differnt websites and have not been able to find nothing that even looks like it. I am gonna try and attach some pictures of the peice.

It"s called the Retainer Assembly,PTO Support. The part number for the TO-30 ( and some TEA"s prior to serial No. 285932)) is 181 172 M91 and, 181 171 M91 for the TO/TE/-20 (and TEA"s 285932 and on). Looks like the shifter rail housing is broken off the assembly. You might be able to braze it back on. Look around in the adds in this forum and see if someone is parting out a machine or try ebay.
