I have a '56 TO-35 that is green belly and grey tin. I'd like to know the colors used and when/in what order. Noone else in my area has ever seen a green/grey one. All the others are grey met. and red.

Greg,

Yes that is a rare color scheme version of the tractor.

There was a short time period in early 1956 that they switched to the beige sheet metal and kept the green body, before going to the Grey/silver body.

Please take Paul's offer and contact him. No one knows the exact time period of these tractors but Paul is the local expert on colors of the TO-35.

Jeff

I have a 1957 TO-35 that came from the factory Beige hood/fenders with gray body.

However, I still have the orginal owners manual that came with the tractor. On the front cover of the manual it shows a TO-35 plowing, the tractor on the cover is painted Beige hood/fenders and green body.

I never understood why or where this color combination came from as it did not match our tractor.

I guess dealership gave dad a 1956 manual with his 1957 tractor.

Per the replys you have gotten, guess I better hold onto this manual as it may also be rare.

Sincerely,

Last fall at Mt. Pleasat where MF was featured, there were too many belly and engine colors to keep track of. As if one needed to know the day of the year to know the original color, whether gray, red, gold, or dark green...
