The original subject was "Re: Axle Shims... related to brakes and sure seals".

I was missing one brake spring as I found that someone had used an adjuster detent spring for the brake spring which broke and chewed up the lower lining. But then I found the missing brake spring on the other side being used as the adjuster detent spring. Now I need a detent spring but should be able to find this at the automotive parts places. But what I really need is 2 bushing for the cross shaft where they go thru the brake backing plate. Parts breakdown indicates that a bushing is there. I have two elongated holes that the cross shaft goes thru. I also need to replace 2 busted cross shaft springs behind the backing plate. Also, YT doesn't list a backing plate seal for the Ferguson but they list one for the Ford which is the same. My TO30 had backing seals. There are also cross shaft bushing listed for later Fords that seem to be about the right size. I can't find much or any info on these parts.
