I have a 1951 TO30,with a loader operated from same pump a 3pt. It will lift fine but it doesn't want to go back down. the lever on the right hand side of the tractor seems to have alot of back pressure when pushed down. If I lock the handle down and go and have a cup of coffee it will go down really slow. any help would be appreciated thanks Frank..... ..

John(UK) and I have been discussing this off-line over the last few weeks. John suggests that the draft control gets in a "do loop" so to say.

Do you have an implement attached to the three-point? Or are you just using the pump?

Jeff

I have a back blade on the 3PT. more or less for weight. Now it seems to be working correctly. I'm hoping that there was a little ice, i'm going to change the oil in hopes that there was a little ice and it will be run through...

Changing the oil would be a good idea as it sounds like the Control Valve is sticking, maybe due to ice, if it is there is water in there and you need to stop it getting in It will be getting in around the bottom of the gear lever so fit a rubber boot to stop it, it will also get in around th Draft Spring at the back of the seat, cover this up or the oil will be contaminated straight away. use multi-grade 15W/30 as it will be thinner in your cold weather and be easier for the Control Valve to operate. How are you holding the blade up? as this could have a bearing on your problem....John
