I am wondering if anyone can look at this tractor on ebay and tell me more about it? I know it"s the wrong color but I am not sure what else there is to know. Any information would be great.

It is always best to try item out before buying. However, depending on price of reserve you wont get too hurt on this one if there is problems.

I did not look too close at tires but new tires are worth about $700.00

Personally I would ask for more closeup pictures and if you are not in a position to look at it, then find someone who can and find out what shipping could be to get it home. It could be a good tractor or an unknown. If he says it is rebuildable then I question that. Painting is one thing, a bad transmission or smoking engine could be something else. If you are willing to fix anything wrong and it goes for a good price it would be worth it. My opinion only. I bought a different tractor sight unseen and it was the best thing I did, but didn't pay the majority of money until I picked it up. Use your judgement.

Bevis, are you looking for information in general on Fergusons (what they can and cannot do) or are you asking for opinions on this specific piece of equipment? I have one just like it that I have finished rebuilding and the only thing I can tell about this one from the picture is that the front end is not showing a lot of wear, based on the condition of the radius rods, unless they have been changed. Everything else is open to question - motor, transmission, hydraulics could be ok or have major problems. Sheet metal is in better shape than most I see around my area.
