I have a Delco Remy 1111722 - 9C11 distributor on my 51 TO20 that has a broken spring on one side of the spark advance mechanism. Does anyone know if it is possible to get parts for these or do I need to try to find a spring to match the remaining spring. I took it apart because the threads are stripped in the hole used to tighten down the points adjustment. I was planning to JB weld a nut on the bottom of the plate. But I found the broken spring and now am wondering about parts. I appreciate any help.

If it were my distributor, I would find an auto electric place that worked on them and see if I could get the breaker plate and the springs and replace them. I"d also check the bushing/shaft for wear and replace the bushing if required. It sounds like yours has really seen better days and if you want a good running tractor, the distributor has to be in good shape.

I had my distributor rebuilt abut 3 years ago and my TO-30 really runs well. An outfit in Portland, OR did the whole thing including machining the shaft and fitting the bushing and replacing all the worn parts for $100 + shipping. I rebuilt distributor is ~$150 exchange.

Thanks for the advice. I had a local electric shop fix the generator. I'll see what they can do with the distributor. I looked for rebuilt/replacement distributors and only found them for around $200. The replacement on this site is $198.
