One of the front wheels on my TO20 is bent. I think it happened when a tire was replaced. Can this be fixed or do I need a new wheel?
Thanks,
John

Why don;t you try the other wheel first. It may not be the wheel...

When you say the wheel is bent are you talking out of round, when it rotates does it wobble out of plane or just the edge near the bead? If out of round get a new wheel, if just the bead then it may be fixed.

Really need to quantify what is ment by bent.

Sorry, I should have clarified. It wobbles when it rotates (out of plane). I just replaced all of the front end bushings and wheel bearings and I don't want to start using it with the wheel wobbling. Replacing is probably the right answer. I thought someone might have had experience trying to have one straightened.

Yes I agree an out of plane wobble is difficult to fix. The cost from this site is ~$50.00

For safety's sake get a new wheel, it is probably corrosion that has caused it. They are inexpensive.

I have witnessed wheels being bent before my eyes when watching tires being removed when the air powered (bead breaker)misses the tire and hits the wheel instead and the wheel is bent.I do not know why it would not be possible to invert the wheel and use a bottle jack to carefully push it back to where it was.as they are made of mild steel.I would try a piece of 2x4 hard wood to prevent damage.Just my thoughts of what I think.
