Can anyone tell me if they have bought and used the 12 alternator kit offered on this site for a TO 30. I see it comes with a wide belt pulley already installed. I have an extra alternator and battery that I can use, but do not know if you can swap the wide pully off the old generator to the alternator. Is there enough thread to do this? Any info would be great. Thanks, Ron.

Often the generator pulley will fit, but it turns the alternator slowly and with the slow speed of the tractor engine, getting a smaller diameter and wide pulley made for the alternator makes it work better. If your local auto electric shop doesn't stock that wide small diameter pulley, they can get it, its a standard alternator parts catalog item.

Genesee Electronics has a wide belt pulley that goes on the Delco 10Si alternator for $15 + shipping. (www.geneseeproducts.com)

Hi Gerry, Do you have the size of the pulley? I am in Canada and can purchase locally. ( I hope)

Sorry, I don't have the correct pulley on my TO-30 so I can't give you the pulley diameter but it takes a 5/8" belt. You can contact Genesee and get the dimnsions from them.
