I have a TO20 with a Z-120 engine, the engine id plate is there but is blank.I assume this is the result of engine cleaning or pressure washing through the years. Was the engine serial # the same as the tractor #? I have seen an ad for continental id plates and would love to place one on my restoration but have no idea what an original plate looks like. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Call 641-423-9487 and ask them to send you a catalog. A fellow board member gave me this tip a while back when I was looking for a replacement plate for my TO 30. I haven't received the catalog yet. Probably ought to call them again. The picture is not very good, but it shows an original TO 30 engine data plate.

It could also be due to a new Cylinder Block being fitted and the old engine number not being stamped in the new block,

Is the tractor ID plate also missing? It should be on the dash panel in front of the steering wheel?

The tractor and engine serial numbers are different. I have a photo of the original i.d. plate from my TO30 (Z129) I can e-mail you if you"d like. I"m also interested in a source for a replacement plate since my engine came back from rebuild without it.
