Just picked up a Ferguson tractor with front loader. Have NO clue what model it is. On the dash or steering post is a tag with TO 67435. Has a overhead valve engine with distributor on left side right in front of starter. Oil filter is on right side horizontal to the engine, below the carb and manifold. What is it ?? ALSO, can't find a key or starter button, how do I start it ?? What is the foot pedal on right side that goes forward into the bellhousing area ??? Thanks

On the left side of this page is a section titled 'research and info.' The tenth item down in that section is titled 'serial numbers.' Search 'Ferguson' and you'll find your serial no. as a TO-30 built in 1951.

You've got a Ferguson 30. The starter is on the gearshift lever. Just find your switch, grasp the shift lever and push it into the "S" position which is shown on your tranny cover shift pattern. This tractor has a brake pedal on right side that applies to both rear wheels. On each side, close to the fenders is a little round pedal which operates the right or left brake seperately. Your tractor would have been made in early '50's. It should have a Continental Z129 gasoline engine and 4 foreward gears and one reverse unless it is equipped with some type of auxillary tranny which will double or in some cases triple each gear. This tractor should produce around 30 pto horse power and weigh around 2700# without bumper, wheel weights, nor loaded tires. I hope this info has helped you some.
