Have a broken Ball Joint on the Plate end of the Throttle Stud. While trying to take the old one off I broke the Stud. Woundering if someone knows how get at the other end so I can take it out. Seems to be behind the dash. Have the battery out but still can"t get to it.
What am I missing? Have no insurance so I can"t burn it !

You should be more careful Ron..lol
Not completely sure of what part you are referring to, if you mean the round plate on the end of the long throttle rod that goes to the front of the engine, then you need to remove the Air Cleaner and slacken off the clamp in the Spring, you also need to detach the Governor linkage at the front of the Fuel Tank, the Long rod will then slide out and you can work on it. When you rebuild it you will have to adjust the Clamp at the back of the Air Filter so it will hold the Throttle in position and you will also need to adjust the Engine Governor Linkage, I will send you this information by email. Now if it is the other end of the throttle link which is on the Throttle lever from the Dash Panel, you need to detach the Upper housing from the Steering box.

Mr. John, it is the throttle end that is still on and I have to get off to replace.
None of my books tell me how to take the stuff apart. I had put rust losener on it, then 2 small vice grips---thought it was coming apart but just twisted it off .
Will have to look how to detach the Upper housing from the Steering box.
Thanks,
Ron
P.S. Got new front wheels and tires . Wheels made in Turkey !
