Got a tea 20 -85, serial # TEA -372350 clutch has been weak for some time, throwout bearing too, last night i was working it and backed up and onto a piece of log, when i came down the clutch paddle started vibrating up against the foot rest, hard to get outa gear, took in back over to the shop, undid the clutch paddle, when i did it back up the paddle just dropped , not much there.Putting together a parts lists here, pressure plate,, clutch disc, release bearing, clutch shaft bushing, pilot bearing , or should i go with a new flywheel,, tranny front seal and gasket, engine real seal, I have done cars and trucks before but not tractors, need to order parts from quite far away and it will take a while for them to get here so i figured if i ordered them tomorrow he,ll have them here for when im ready for them.I have a book but it isn,t much help, anyways thanks for any help you might give.

The fork that holds the throwout bearing may also be bad. If one of the ears broke off, it would explain the pedal flopping. You won't know until you take it apart.

Sparex don't do a seal specifically for the Transmission drive but I do have the dimensions.

Oh don,t worry about it John, i know your busy and help so many here.I was just in too much of a hurry to get the parts ordered as it takes so long to get them to me.Took 11 days in the last couple of weeks to get a dist cap and that was by UPS haha.I,ll take it apart and go from there im not sure what im facing that is all, i have a book i just got a couple of months ago but it isn,t a very good one, im still looking for a better one.I probably get the clutch rebuild at the parts store but i don,t know how good they are, and how much, probably would be better to go new. Thanks

You say it took eleven days to get the parts to you, you wouldn't have to be in a hurry would you. If the Clutch isn't worn too badly then you can repair it but after 50 years that pedal will have been pressed a few times so it could be really worn and in that case you are better going for new.
Well if I can help you any further, just email me...John

Took 11 days john to get a Dist.cap, that was by ups, cost more for them than the cap did.I was in the middle of getting a part of a field ready, but it will be too late for me to catch the moisture now for this year so, i,ll take my time and do it right.yes i agree i will buy all new parts, it is the seals and rear engine seal i need to be able to find now.Maybe once i get it apart i will know more i guess.Got the loader off last night, that is a job in itself, took 3 hours,i left the rear blade on and when that loader popped of i thought the tractor was going to tip back lol, steering was sure easy .Anyways i best run , i,ll be aiming to split it this weekend, i did email you john maybe i got the wrong addy if you never got it, i don,t know.Anyways thanks for your help i appreciate it very much, take care and have a great weekend.
