Bad hyd gasket

I recently got my self into a fix, The gasket on the bottom plate of hyd pump started leaking and I have I guess what is sort of a dumb question, Is it possible to change the gasket with out completely dropping the pump,this is on my To 20, Guess I am just hoping for a quick fix., of course the oil is drained now,so before I go any farther, please help,thanks in advance for any in put on this subject..

No you can't change the gasket like that, as you need to scrape the old one off and the new one would have to be stretched or distorted to get it over the Pump Base. To get the Pump to drop anyway you have to remove the setscrews, disconnect the Control Fork and remove the PTO shaft, so why not drop the Pump anyway, you will possibly take more time trying not to drop the Pump that actually dropping it. John, Thanks for the reply and the inf, I sorta guessed that would be a reply that I might receive,but you know how it is when you hope for a short cut, never know with out asking ,and yes I am familiar with how to replace it ,just was looking for an easy out I guess, thanks again. this is a really great site.
