When I go to lower the blade at rear of my 2085 I get nothing, nothing, then allof a sudden in about 1/16" of lever movement it falls like a stone. To my way of thinking I should be able to feather it down shouldnt I?

You shouldn't be able to hold it a given height, well not easily anyway as your tractor doesn't have POSITION control, all that it has is Draft Control and that is for working below ground level where there would be a pressure on the Top Link to control everything. If the Draft Spring and the Quadrant lever are adjusted correctly you should be able to hold at about 2-1/4" from the front of the lever (when it is at the top) to the rear of the lever in the "hold" position. There isn't actually a "hold" position it is just a point where the Control Valve is neither in lift or lower. give me as much info as you can about what it is doing and then I can send you the correct information....John PS If you do need to hold the implement and work above ground it is possible to buy a "Zane Thang" that will do the job, look on Google for it.
