In a word, yes. It will work just fine. I"m not as dedicated to it as Marlowe is, but I do use it, and I have never had any problems. I am in an area (Virginia) which gets down to about zero Fahrenheit, and up to 100 F, and it is a good choice for me. I change the oil and filters in my tractors once a year.

Mel, Hello, I have a to35 and have been running Rotella 15-40 in it for 20 years, run cheveron in it 5 years before that ( high det. diesel oil). The only problem with old tractors is a lot of them are all slugged up from non det. oil and if you put high det. in it will loosen it all up and plug up the screen and loose pressure.
I put main and rod bearings in a small allis chalmers afer this happend and the slug came off the block in sheets 1/4 thick. If the eigine is not sluged up it should be fine, just change it often till it gets the engine cleaned out.Opinions vary on oil, I believe in Rotella run it in everything i have. I've found that it cleans up around the rings and stops them from burning oil in some cases( the slug causes the rings to stick in the grove)-ed
