Bought it and picked up the tractor, cultivators plow and bush hog in the rain. Runs pretty good. Lift stays up pretty good, too. Needs a tune up and fuel system cleaned out. Gonna drop some seafoam in the gas tank tomorrow. Has the front inside wheel weights. The only thing I could see missing was the left side hood emblem. Thanks again for your responses to my earlier post when I was just looking at it.

Hey, that dang thing ought to be gettin' heavy by the time you go through Iowa, so's you might was well just drop it off here. I'm only about 70 miles from the location of the next FENA convention in the fall, and it'll look right pretty there. You can just go on out to Oregon for a visit anyhow. LOL I saw your post the other day about purchasing it, and it looks like you got a dandy there. Most of the ones I see are poor old fagged out Fergys that look like they been rounding up cattle with the hood and had chains on three sizes too big.

Yes it looks very nice. It has an aftermarket spring seat on it. You won't like the seat so just ship it to my house and I'll dispose of it.
Ever heard of mission creep???

Mike, the grill is there and in great shape. There is a screen over it. I'm gonna tune it up and find a back blade for working my gravel and removing snow.

just saw about 3 of them blades go at the auction i was at this morning. didn't pay attention to what they went for tho. it won't be long an' you'll get the bug to start cleanin' a little rust off here, a little gunk off there, n' before you know what happened your cars'll be sittin' in the driveway and you'll have the 30 in pieces all over the garage floor, half of them soakin' in a tub full o' washin' soda an' hooked up to a battery charger. yer wife'll be gripin' about havin' to walk to her car in the rain and askin' about grease stains in her carpet that "magically" got there. you'll be eyeballin' a new compressor and the paint sprayers down at tractor supply an' she'll be givin' you dirty looks. an' instead of takin' her out to dinner you'll be sittin' here at the 'puter on friday nights talkin' about hydraulic oil pumps an' convertin' to 12 volts, with a buncha other guys in the same boat as you.....so welcome to the doghouse! right larry "hills of tn?"

Yep, Mike is right. There is just something about the old tractors that won"t let you be content for it to just run good. I have a nice TO20 that currently is partly in my basement, partly in my computer room, and partly at the machine shop. In the beginning, I just wanted it to run!

Oh, and I forgot the 10% of it that is partly in the air where I have been de-rusting forever!

I will be selling the Ferguson plow and the cultivators. The data plate is still on the plow, but I need to check the cultivators. If any of you are interested, my email is open. If not - then they'll go on eBay.

Indiana;

That's a Knoedler (SP?) seat. I have one on my 51 8N. It is a great improvement over the standard spring seat.

What size is the Plow?

I'm in IN near Cincinnati. Where in God's country are you?

Dean

Hi Dean, I am about 5 miles west of I-69 about 45 miles north of Indianapolis. The plow is a two bottom 14-AO-28 serial # 163777. Good shares, coulters, and furrow wheel with scraper intact. Moldboards look good, but I haven't really given it a close inspection. Hitch pins looked solid.

Sure thing Paul. We oughta get there, oh...., say about this time next year? (the tractor doesn't have an overdrive trans in it).

Don't know where Bend is, but I used to live in Corvallis. My dad was a grad student at OSU back in the late 60s.
