I AM ABOUT TO START A RESTORATION ON AN OLD RUNDOWN FERGUSON T 20. TO START WITH I WOULD LIKE TO CHECK THE COMPRESSION, DOES ANY ONE KNOW WHAT THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE?

No such thing as a T20, it's either a TO20 or a TE20 and if it has a Standard Petrol engine it is a TEA20. For a TEA20 the Factory manual quotes a pressure of 90 - 100lbs.psi at engine cranking speed and with a fully charged battery.

A rebuilt engine is around 120-130 psi (engine at operating temperature with the throttle plate wide open and no air cleaner restiction). Below 85-90 psi and it needs a rebuild. People run them with lower compression but wouldn't. Min oil pressure at hot lo idle is 15 psi.
