My Uncle has a flashing light on his TO-30 that"s quit. He wants to replace the flasher thingy, but can"t come up with a 6 volt flasher. Does anyone still make one?

He won"t consider changing the tractor over to 12 volts - He wants to keep it original.

Of course - The flasher isn"t original either. But it"s been on the tractor for many decades and he wants to get it working again. I don"t necessarilly agree with him - I"m just trying to help him out.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Since it is just flashing ONE light, a HEAVY DUTY flasher would PROBABLY be best, 'cause they flash at a fixed rated, regardless of load.

A standard flasher tends to flash very slow with just one lamp powered by it.

A BUSS # 535 is a 6-Volt HD flasher. It has 3 terminals, you only need to use two... the third operates the blinking indicator lamp in the dash.

That # will give you something to go on. I would THINK most auto parts stores that sell BUSS products could still order it.

Good Luck!
