I need some help. I have a Fergie TE20 with a loader I am trying to fit. However it is missing some brackets. I am told it is called a banana loader and it is the front brackets that attaches it to the engine block. If anyone has photos or drawings of these brackets could they contact me. Even better would be someone in the Cheshire/Staffs area with one fitted that I could look at .

John,

Yes the MIL loader sounds like it. Mine is a petrol/TVO

you would be better advertising on the FoFH site in the UK...http://www.fofh.co.uk/market.htm you stand a much better chance of getting these brackets on there.

The MIL loader sounds right and it is the brackets that attach at the front that I need. Mine is a petrol/TVO

The front mounting for the Hyd. rams on this loader is a heavy beam that fits under the clutch housing, the brackets for this attach to the three long studs (each side) through the footrest and Radius Rods on the side of the Clutch Housing and not attached to the engine in any way. The correct name for that loader is a "High-lift loader" They are just flat plates that hang down with holes drilled for bolting to the Beam one end and attaching to the footrest studs on the other. You will need longer studs for this, the original ones are too short and they need to be hard material or they will break off, you need to check these and the ones onto the Hydraulic lift cover that carry the loader main attachment point quite often as they do come loose and shear off.

I am now aware that mine is not the banana loader but the one that looks like scaffolding and is attached at the front to the front of the block. It is these brachkest that are missing

Most loaders were tubular so just which one you mean I am not sure, there was also one that fitted to the front axle and that was a Ferguson model LUE. The one you mention does it have a frame either side that goes to the rear axle mudguard bolts and is that tubular too, with the loader boom pivoting about the middle of the tractor, that could be a MIL loader (Midland Industries Ltd) that has brackets that attach to the front of the cylinder block using the bolts that fasten the front axle carrier. The brackets for the diesel and the carburettor engines were different.

Yes it sounds like it is a MIL loader and it is the brackets that attaches it to the front of the engine that I need to make. If I know what they look like then I could try and make them
