Those 5 horses were pretty good ones too. Quite a difference when hooked to implements.

The 30 has a little more power than the Fords, but no position control like the 8N, although there are kits you can buy (or build) to remedy that. Some people think first gear is a little fast in the Fergies. It is fast for a tiller, but I've had no problems with any other implements. The individual brakes on the Fergies are on left and right sides, unlike the 8N with both brakes together at the right foot. This may take a little getting used to, but one advantage is you can brake a wheel by pulling up on the lever as well as by depressing it with your foot. Parts are no problem, and the Fergie hood raises easily giving better quick access to battery, VR, gauges, etc. Also, the TO-35 is superior to all of the tractors we've mentioned, and more or less comparable to the NAA, just FYI.

The TO-30 has about 5 more horsepower than the N's and doesn't have position control like the 8N. It is a 4 spd with a Continental Z129 OHV engine. The three point system and the lack of live hydraulics and live PTO are shared with the N Series Ford. There are some common parts on the thre point system and elswhere.
