$1600

Three point implements

---i did not buy anything-as i have not had time to disaseemble My TO 20 to see what i have-but i predict serious regret after learning the value of these implements--my mom even got mad when i told her the prices ater She returned from visiting relatives in Nebraska--"Why didn"t You buy them?", she said.

In my neck of the woods I would say the box scraper went very cheap, and the cultivator went cheap, but perhaps the plow was a little overpriced. Normally I see a plow like that go around $225. The other stuff was a little cheap, but not so much so that it was "stolen." Also, if you had bid, likely the other bidders would have bid more, so you probably would not have gotten them as cheap as it might seem. Of course, as we all know, auction prices are a direct result of whether or not there are at least two people present who sincerely want that item or not. I love rainy day auctions with smaller crowds. On bluebird days, better bring your thicker checkbook.

Truck- Farming is usually smaller farm operation where the farmer sells his produce directly to the public and not to a retailer... ie. at a road side farm stand or out the back of the "Truck" at a road intersection or farmers market.

mglenn,I think chisel plow is Moldboard Plow.Breaker Disks are Coulters and the side rakes are Weed Hooks which work wonders in getting everything turned under when Plowing. We were also Truck Farming in my youth. We had a NKO type solid shank cultivator. They also made a spring tooth which are like a regular spring tooth harrow. They were mounted on round shanks in brackets on the main angle frames. These worked better in rocky soil. The NKO make excellant one row cultivators for hand planted rows which in our tme was 36in.For one row remove all shanks on one side except the one to cover the wheel tracks.(CAUTION) Make a flat plate to reinforce the side with the shanks removed as the frame will be sprung when an obstruction is hit.Ask me how I know. The wheels haved to be moved out to straddle the next row. This is easy on the FORD-FERGUSON type also used on tea20,te20,to20 to30,&135 series front ends as opposed to the 8n & later Ford & MASSEY MH50 and other Brands that used these front end types.CENTAUR
