Does SPAREX offer brake shoes (not just the linings)for the TE20"s? If so, do you have a part number?

Thanks, Larry H.

Larry,
Your tractor was fitted with "kidney cam" brakes and they don't do the shoes for that system, only a linings and rivet kit. S04163 They only do shoes for the "floating cam" brakes fitted after 200,000 in 1951....John

Thanks for checking, John.

Would you advise having the riveting done at a truck shop or is it basic enough to do at a home shop with hand tools? (I have peened a few rivets in minor home projects, but not brake linings.)

You should have no problems with riveting the linings, Ideally you need someone to hold the shoe on the Drift locked in the vise while you do the actual riveting. Some start in the middle and some start at one end. The linings will take a little while to bed in and the braking will not be as good as you would think at first, but using the tractor and brakes they will soon bed-in and they will work properly then. You need to set-up the brakes rods properly though for that to happen. If you need the info for that email me and I will send it....John
