How do you remove steering wheel? Does it pull off or unscrew? I have tried both.(gear puller also). Please help!

Its on a keyed taper and they can really stick tight. They had a three legged puller for this job where the legs used to go under the steering wheel spokes. Just be careful not to damage the steering shaft.

I just changed mine last weekend on my TO-20 it took a little hitting with a hammer and removing some of the coating near the center but once you take the acorn nut off a suitable puller should do the trick without too much trouble.

have you done a search in the Archives? I'm sure this topic has come up before numerous times.
