The previous owner of my TO-30 must have loved vice grips since he rounded off the oil pan drain bolt. I have searched the forum and then the internet for a replacement to no avail. As far as I can tell it is a 5/8" fine thread bolt. Any suggestions as to where to find one?
BTW great forum, thanks John (uk) already for your help

I had a similar problem. Like you I could not find a 5/8" inch bolt. However, the local O'Reilly auto parts store had replacement oil pan bolts for ones that had stripped threads. They have a 1/2" bolt that is called double oversize. I believe that each oversize is 1/32" or possibly 1/16" larger than normal size for replacing a stripped thread in the oil pan. Anyway, the double oversize fit well with a teflon tape added as insurance. I have never had a leak from this bolt. If you do not have an O'Reillys probably any auto parts store could get double oversize 1/2" bolt for you. Good luck.
