I have just installed pistons and liners into a 4 cyl 35 diesel and was wondering if anyone can help me! The tractor starts fine, even in cold conditions, and she burns clean from the exhaust! The injectors were serviced at the same time, but after about half an hours running, she starts to miss slightly and pop a little bit from the exhaust! It only seems to do this when the tractor is working under load as a result of pulling etc, and only does it when engine is warm! She rev's up fine and ticks over fine when stationary! Does anyone have any answers? Your help would be much appreciated!

Stephen.

I was thinking about your problem again today and trying to remember what problems we used to get with them and I thought the simplest one of all....it could be an injector...I know you have had them serviced but they can and do stick as they have an odd shaped needle in them. Have the engine running with it misfiring and slacken each injector pipe in turn to see if one doesn't make any difference to the running and that is the faulty one. Still check that pipe like I said in the other posting though.

Check that the leak-off pipe on the injectors (the four branched one)isn't blocked anywhere, sometimes the pipe twists when you tighten the nut and it closes the pipe up.
