If you know how to adjust the valves on a Z120 or Z129 engine and you will be attending the Ferguson/Massey Expo in Waverly, Nebraska in July please send me an e-mail and let me know.

I just adjusted the tappets on my TO35 with the Z129 engine. Remove the gas tank, remove the valve cover, remove the spark plugs. You can then turn the engine over by turning the fan. When each cylinder is at top dead center, meaning that the valves are fully closed you loosen the corresponding tappets by loosening the nut then turning the screw end of the tappet. When there is about .012 gap(use a feeler guage) between the valve stem and the rocker arm you tighten the nut while holding the tappet adjuster with the screw driver. Double check and adjust if necessary. The plate on the side of the engine specifies a gap of .010-.013. That's it in a nutshell. Hope I didn't lead you astray. It is actually quite easy and logical.
