I am looking at a T O that has had a fire..The alum steer column support where the ser tag is was partially destroyed,at top is "ser T O ,the rest is gone..Also the tag on engine is also gone..It is 4cyl,ohv,4spd with S on upper right of shift plate/cover.The coil is mounted horizontal and it has a breather/vent on upper right of dash..Could not find external oil filter..I wrote down several cast "T O _ _ _ " numbers, but can't seem to find them in parts for sale descriptions.Any help or directions where to look will be greatly appreciated.I also got it to run & think with a bit of work it could be a good ol tractor.I posted this earlier & went back to correct spelling errors & it disapeared.???

Thank you,John & Jerry for the replies. The seller somehow tripled the $$ & I walked away. I did however notice a lot of things on the T O Series that i really like over the N series. I will keep looking & be back with more questions..Thanks again. Wayne

If you didn't find an external oil filter it ain't a TO-30/Z129 engine! The the TE-A20 with 85 mm pistons had one like that though per my parts manual. But it supposedly had an external oil filter too. Seems like you may have some sort of half breed.

If it has a breather on the dash it should be a TO30 providing no one has switched the engine.(Z129) The part numbers you will find are related possibly to non popular parts and parts before they are machined. I think we have all had that at one time or another with the spelling...lol...Try this if you are having problems:- Link
