Any way to date a TO belt pulley? The Dearborn models have a casting date on them & changed from rockwood to steel after 1950 or so. Did the TO models stay w/ paper?

Hey Jeff-
Take the pulley off and look down inside the housing for a part number and/or casting code date boss- I had a Fergie once and that's where it was located. Note the part number is same as FORD only 9N omitted and TO added??? Still nice to have a Fergie in your collection. Makes me wish I'd had hung on to mine...oh well. The rockwood is cool for originality, but for actual use I prefer the steel ones for accuracy. I have a steel pulley and the Dearborn saw has a steel one so it makes things go a little smoother. HTH

Thanks Tim, I'll take a look under the pulley.

Yeah, I've got N & TO split interests, too. The pulley was priced right, so I just couldn't pass it up.

I was thinking I might move my saw link bracket from the Dearborn pulley over to the TO pulley. My Ferguson saw has the paper pulley too.

Jeff
