My clutch will not release my transmission, PTO will release. I was driving it when this happened. Any suggestions? Thanks

It may just be that the plate has stuck to the flywheel. if the pedal pressure feels normal this could be it, if the pedal pressure is not as high as usual then it could be the fingers on the clutch have worn away but usually you hear a noise when the bearing seizes up (not riding with your foot on the clutch pedal helps)If pressure is normal you can try to start engine, let it get warm first then press pedal and put it in a low gear, keep your foot on the pedal with the engine idling and just run around your yard a little, it may free or if you are really stuck if you CAREFULLY run the tractor wheel into something solid ENGINE TICKING OVER you may release it. Otherwise it means taking the engine out. If you park your tractor for a few days always fasten the pedal down, Ferguson always did this with new live-drive tractors till they were sold, they used to fit a spring steel strip with a notch for the pedal, on the bottom footrest stud at the factory for this purpose.
