A buddy of mine dropped off the Marvel Schebler carburetor from his MF 50 for me to take a look at. I pulled it apart and it was full of rust, so cleaned it out and stuck it back together. He lives about 30 miles away, and will probably be back here tomorrow to pick it up. Since he's going to be putting the carb back on and I'll not be around to adjust it for him, could some of you tell me approximately where I should set the idle and load needles. Most anything I've dealt with usually worked at around 1-1/2 turns out on each, just wondered if the same would apply for this one. I don't know what year the 50 is, but suspect it's from the late 1950's or so. He won't have any idea how to adjust the carb, so I'd like to at least make sure it will start and run for him, until I get a chance to run out to his place and dial it in. Thanks!
